Tapping “Settings” and then “Other” sends you to the “Advanced Settings” menu. Inside, you can find printer’s individual IP Address (in the case of connecting the machine to your network via ethernet cable), and also Quiet Mode. What is it? The explanation is below.
Quiet Mode is the option, that allows the printer to work more quietly, so you can leave it printing during the night and sleep peacefully. This mode decreases the value of printing acceleration and stepper motors current. It has three modes, which can be chosen:
- Off - the quiet mode is turned off, the acceleration and stepper motors current are at default value
- On - the quiet mode is turned on, the acceleration and stepper motors current is decreased around 30%
- Ultra - ultra-quiet mode, the acceleration and stepper motors current is decreased by 50%
This mode can be also activated during the print in "Adjust settings" screen:
Simply click the button and it will cycle through 3 states: OFF, ON, and ULTRA.
